In the parking lot at work, a sign reminds motorists to slow down...
...and Mother Goose, curled up for a nap, perches on a nest of dirt and old mulch on a little island amid a sea of asphalt.
If I see the little buggers, I'll give you an update on the goslings.

Well, WTF? I come back after the weekend and there's no Mother Goose--just one intact egg and one broken one.
It's possible the one egg hatched and the other was infertile, and Mama took off with Baby. According to this page, the hatching happens fast, so maybe they can tell when it's been too long and an egg ain't gonna hatch.
I don't particularly suspect human malfeasance--not much traffic around there on a weekend. There are a few coyotes around, but I didn't see signs of animal malfeasance, either.
Like I said, WTF.
